ALEX Bruce headed in his first goal of the season and admitted he could be off in January.
Bruce said: “I have not been offered a contract to stay. All I can do is play my football and do the best I can.
“It is not my decision if I stay in January or next summer - it is down the club.”
Bruce has attracted interest from Italian clubs, including Fiorentina after Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni recommended him.
Norwich City, Burnley, Barnsley and Preston are also believed to be keen on the defender who nodded in a consolation goal for Town against his former club last night.
But Bruce admitted it was scant consolation after Town slipped to a 2-1 loss at St Andrews.
He said: “I was delighted to score but unfortunately I would have preferred the three points much more.
“We didn't get out of the blocks for the first 20 minutes and they showed what a good side they are. They took the foot off the pedal a little and we got in the game but it wasn't enough.”
