Byron Lawrence scores twice as Ipswich Town XI hit six at AFC Sudbury

SCHOOLBOY Byron Lawrence scored twice in a comprehensive 6-1 victory for an Ipswich Town XI at non-league side AFC Sudbury last night.

The 16-year-old midfielder netted in quick succession after half-time and twice fizzed shots wide in a search for his hat-trick.

Nathan Ellington (17) opened the scoring for Town and after Lee Boylan equalised for the hosts (31), Ronan Murray scored twice in as many minutes (38, 39).

Then followed Lawrence’s goals (46 and 54), with substitute Matk Timlin finishing the scoring soon after he came on (84).
