Midfielder Emyr Huws looks set to sign for Ipswich after the Blues had a bid accepted by Cardiff City.

The 23-year-old was one of the few bright spots of last season, impressing during a four month loan spell at Portman Road.

His showings prompted Town fans to call for boss Mick McCarthy to make his signing the number one summer priority.

And it seems that Mick has got his man, with Cardiff boss Neil Warnock today revealing that the club have accepted a bid from the Blues.

He told the BBC: “I spoke to [Ipswich manager] Mick McCarthy and we’ve... accepted an offer and I think it’s just down to the two clubs to sort the little details out.

“I think the player is happy, he had a good time there and we wish him well.”

Huws will join £1m striker Joe Garner, signed from Rangers earlier this month, at Portman Road. Manchester City winger Bersant Celina is also set to sign on loan.
