SOURCES in Cardiff suggest that Ipswich Town are unlikely to snap up Michael Chopra for a 3m fee.
Chopra has been linked with a move to Portman Road, with the common factor being Town boss Roy Keane, who originally signed the 26-year-old for 5m when at Sunderland three years ago.
Chopra’s big wages are likely to be a major stumbling block, in addition to the asking price. The ex-Newcastle trainee is still under contract at Cardiff, and would be reluctant to move to another Championship club, especially if it meant a wage-cut.
Keane is a big fan of Chopra, but no deal appears imminent.
