FORMER Blues striking star Billy Clarke is in line to return to the Blackpool squad for this Saturday's Championship game at Bloomfield Road.

The 22-year-old, who was released by Town at the end of last season, has been on the injured list since before Christmas and missed Blackpool's two defeats against the Blues this season in December (league) and January (FA Cup).

The Cork-born player has trained for the past week and is available for selection.

He's keen to face his former club and is set to begin the game on the substitutes' bench.

Hameur Bouazza, who reached the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations in January, is due to return after last playing for the Tangerines on Boxing Day.

He's been suffering from a groin strain and his pace has been missed so he's likely to get the nod to start ahead of the former Ipswich man.

Rob Edwards, who was sent off in the cup game against Ipswich will be available after a two-match ban for a red card against Middlesbrough on February 16 with Ian Evatt - also sent off against Ipswich - struggling slightly with injury.

Gary Taylor-Fletcher is a major doubt with a groin strain, which kept him out of last week's defeat against Barnsley.
