BILLY Clarke will join Northampton Town on loan from Friday.
The Blues striker who has recently come back from Darlington joins the Cobblers on an initial one month spell, until February 24.
Blues boss Jim Magilton said: “He needs to be playing first team games and the loan will give him an opportunity to do that.”
Clarke is one of the 14 Ipswich players who will be out of contract in the summer.
