Cup game will beat the big freeze

IPSWICH Town’s visit of West Brom in the Carling Cup quarter-finals tonight will definitely go ahead.

Head groundsman Alan Ferguson and his staff have had the frost covers on to make sure the Portman Road pitch is playable, while stadium manager Trevor Kirton and his team have been working around the clock to make sure the stadium and its surrounding areas are safe for the fans.

Supporters are reminded to take care travelling to and from the stadium this evening (kick-off 7.45pm).
