Droylsden defender Sean Newton bagged a double to give the Bloods a dream trip to Portman Road to take on Championship side Ipswich Town in the FA Cup third round on January 3.
Newton's goals completed a shock win over 10-man League Two opponents Chesterfield at the fourth time of asking.
Bad weather and floodlight failure twice forced this second round fixture to be abandoned but Newton ensured it was settled at the Butcher's Arms last night.
He opened the scoring in the 31st minute but within four minutes Chesterfield were level.
Striker Jack Lester grabbed the equaliser, but he turned from hero to villain for the Derbyshire visitors when he was shown a red card for an elbow as the Spireites failed to find the killer touch against the Blue Square North team.
The all-important winner came from the penalty spot 10 minutes into the second half and they were able to hold on for a famous win.
They will now be looking forward to their trip to Ipswich, but for former Ipswich player Darren Currie - who came on as a 71st minute substitute for Chesterfield - it was a disappointing end to his hopes of a keenly-anticipated return to Suffolk.
