DAMIEN Delaney has been withdrawn from the Republic of Ireland squad for this week’s friendly against Crotia.
The Ipswich Town defender limped off at the start of the second half in this afternoon’s 3-0 win over Bristol City.
Delaney suffered a knock to his ankle in the opening 45 minutes and even though he looked to shake it off, even coming out early during the half-time break, he was soon replaced by Tommy Smith.
Town boss Paul Jewell confirmed after the match that Delaney would miss the Ireland match.
