The 28-year-old defender plans to be clean shaven for Saturday's Championship game at Bristol City.
He removed his beard on Tuesday - after it had done its job!
Delaney explained: “I decided to grow a beard for the first time and said to myself I would shave it off when I got back into the first team.

“After I made my return to the squad for the trip to Plymouth I decided to keep growing it until we won a match.
“And after the victory over Derby I switched again and said I would keep it until we climbed out of the bottom three.

“But I was losing sleep and on Tuesday morning after a night when the growth on my chin kept waking me up I decided to head for the razor.
“Hopefully it's done its job, and stubble will be the extent of my facial growth from now on.”
