DERBY manager Paul Jewell has quit the Championship club following its home defeat by Ipswich, it was confirmed today.

Speculation had been rife overnight after Jewell failed to attend the post-match press conference following Town's 1-0 victory at Pride Park, a result which, ironically, eased the pressure on Ipswich boss Jim Magilton.
