Today marks the dawn of a new era for Suffolk's favourite football publication, which has been a fixture in the hearts of the county's soccer fans since 1923.

The great news is that the Green'Un, which sold last season for £1, is now FREE every Monday in The Evening Star.

This, 24-page publication is packed with features which you won't find on the website.

For Ipswich Town fans there are nine pages of top coverage.

- Detailed analysis, reaction and comment on every Blues game.

- Those Were The Days fanzine editor Phil Ham gives his humorous take on events at Portman Road.

- Big Blue Monday is an exciting new two-page feature in which we look in-depth at issues of interest to Ipswich Town fans. In the first we explore Jim Magilton's approach to transfer dealings and give our verdict on how the young boss is doing.

- Fantastic picture coverage both on the pitch and off it. You never know, we may well have captured you on camera.

For fans of the non-league game we've got a great match package.

- Each week we will take an in-depth look at one local match.

- There will also be two further pages of reports from the SIL and Ridgeons leagues.

Green'Un Gold is your chance to take a trip down memory lane.

- Each week we will catch up with a team from another era. It could be your old school side, a works team, or a club competing at a higher non-league level.

Check out new and old columns…

- The Whistleblower is back. Former top-flight referee Kelvin Morton comments on issues concerning match officials and gives his take on the state of the game.

- Carl Marston's column is a must for all sports fans. Carl has a huge depth of knowledge on a variety of sports from football to athletics, so don't miss his take on the big stories.

Plus so much more… we've got horse racing, news from the world of sport and an in-depth sporting feature each week for you to enjoy.

So be sure to pick up your Evening Star every Monday to continue a great Suffolk sporting tradition.
