Drury set to start for Town reserves

ANDY Drury is set to make his first appearance in an Ipswich shirt in tonight’s reserve match against Oxford United.

The new signing from Luton Town should be given a run-out in Town’s midfield in a largely youthful squad.

Luciano Civelli, who last Saturday got his first taste of competitive first team action in almost two years, is also set to feature alongside defender Tommy Smith, young midfield pair Luke Hyam and Reggie Lambe and striker Ronan Murray.

Drury, 27, who signed last month for a reported 150,000 from the Blue Square Premier side, will hope an impressive showing could persuade manager Paul Jewell to include him in the 18 for this Saturday’s trip to Barnsley.

Jason Scotland is a notable omission from Chris Kiwomya’s squad for the Totesport.com fixture - adding to the speculation that the striker is set to rejoin his former club Swansea on loan.
