Ex-Town player turns FA Cup hero

FORMER Ipswich Town Youth team player Sammy Moore turned FA Cup hero last night.

Moore, who was a member of the 2005 FA Youth Cup winning team, scored twice for AFC Wimbledon in their first round replay 3-2 victory against Ebbsfleet United, who had put out Needham Market earlier in the competition.

AFC Wimbledon were trailing 2-1 at Stonebridge Road when Moore, who joined Dover after leaving Portman Road, equalised in the 90th minute to take the tie into extra time.

With penalties looming Moore popped up to score the winner for the Blue Square Premier leaders in the 120th and last minute of the tie to set up a second round match at home to Stevenage.
