IPSWICH Town are set to play in front of more than 20,000 fans again next season - even if they remain in the Coca-Cola Championship.
The deadline for season ticket renewals for fans wishing to take advantage of the 'Early Bird' 2008/09 deal has now passed, with ticket office manager John Ford confirming that the number of applications is similar to this time last year.
“We are averaging 21,660 fans per game this campaign and it is looking that we will run on similar lines next season if we stay in the Championship,” said Ford.
He added: “At the moment we have a mountain of unopened mail bags to work through. Around 10,000 applications have already been processed and last season we were just short of 14,000 sales going into the season.
