FORMER Ipswich Town striker Ted Pole has died aged 88.
Born in Kessingland and christened Harold Edward Pole, he made his debut against Bournemouth on January 1 1947 and made 40 first team appearances netting 13 goals.
His final match was against Port Vale on September 4 1950 before having a spell at Leyton Orient where he played 12 games.
During his time at Portman Road, Pole played 115 reserve team games and scored 37 goals.
