Ipswich Town made it six away games undefeated with a gritty goalless draw at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
Blues keeper Dean Gerken was the star man, pulling off two fantastic saves, with the hosts dominating the game for large periods.
Mick McCarthy’s men were their usual organised and spirited selves though and could even have nicked all three points late on as Christophe Berra twice went close.
It was a game which left Forest boss Billy Davies bemoaning the fact that his side still ‘lacks the final piece of the jigsaw’, despite millions of pounds having been spent assembling a bloated squad, with Blues boss Mick McCarthy again hailing the character of his low-budget outfit as they remain in touching distance of the top six heading into the busy Christmas period.
