Former Ipswich Town midfielders Lee Martin and Liam Trotter could both start for Millwall in Saturday’s clash with the Blues at The New Den.

Ipswich-born and former Northgate High School pupil Trotter scored twice in 22 games for his hometown club before signing for the Lions in 2010, and has gone on to become a firm favourite at The New Den, scoring 24 goals in 136 games since making his move permanent.

Martin endured a frustrating time at Portman Road, scoring just six times in 106 appearances, before being released at the end of last season.

Goalkeepers Stephen Bywater and Andy Marshall, meanwhile, who have both spent time with Ipswich, are both goalkeepers at the south London club. Former West Ham stopper Bywater is likely to be on the bench on Saturday.

As for Ipswich, Mick Mick McCarthy managed Millwall for four years between 1992 and 1996.

The above quartet are just four players that have worn the colours of both teams and join the likes of Kevin Lisbie, Andros Townsend, Mark Kennedy and Kevin O’Callaghan to have done so.
