Tottenham loanee Ryan Fredericks scored the only goal of the game as Championship strugglers Millwall defeated Ipswich Town at The Den, on Saturday.
The right back, signed from the White Hart Lane club on Friday, netted the winner when his cross-cum-shot evaded Dean Gerken in the Blues’ goal.
Tommy Smith almost equalised for Town, his effort being cleared off the line, before former Ipswich winger Lee Martin missed a late chance to double the Lions’ lead.
The defeat leaves Ipswich, who have not won since Boxing Day, five points off the play-off zone.
