IPSWICH Town midfielder Owen Garvan scored twice as the Republic of Ireland's Under-21s secured a 2-2 draw with Portugal in Madeira.
The Republic came from 2-0 down thanks to Garvan's brace. His first came four minutes after the restart when he converted Sean Scannell's cut back from the left flank, and he claimed his second after 65 minutes.
Scannell again fed the 20-year-old Blues star, who hit the far corner from 15 yards.
