TAMAS Priskin is set to complete his move to Ipswich Town this morning and could soon be joined by at least two other players.

Blues boss Roy Keane has made a move to land Spurs winger Giovani Dos Santos, who enjoyed a loan spell at Portman Road last season.

Keane has also been linked with former Celtic striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and to be back in talks with Sunderland striker Daryl Murphy who has already turned the Blues down a couple of times before.

Priskin is having personal talks and a medical with the Blues who had a 1.7m offer accepted by Watford yesterday and the Hungarian striker could make his debut at Coventry City on Sunday.

With Jordan Rhodes sold to Huddersfield, Kevin Lisbie going to Colchester United on loan and Pablo Counago still injured Keane wanted to bring in a couple of new strikers.

“We didn't score enough goals last season and I have only two identified strikers in Jon Stead and Connor Wickham. I have to remind myself Connor is just 16-years of age and we can't be putting demands on him to score goals in the Championship.”

Keane admitted he too had been frustrated at times waiting for deals to be done.

He said: “Managers and staff can be like supporters, they want it all done yesterday but we live in the real world.

“You have to haggle, get prices down, just as we negotiate when clubs come in for our players. I like to be straightforward and I have a valuation on a player and if a club matches that's it but not all clubs work like that I'm afraid.”

With so many Premier League and continental clubs vying for Dos Santos' services, Keane faces a fight to land the Mexican but revealed but was giving it a go anyway.

He said: “I spoke to Harry Redknapp about Gio when he was here last year.”

The Tottenham website even had Dos Santos down as being with the Blues for the 2009/2010 on their profile of the player.

The versatile attacker scored four goals in eight appearances for the Blues in the latter part of the season for Town, even with a spell out with injury.

Espanyol were tipped to land Dos Santos while Deportivo de La Coruna could make a bid if the Galician outfit lose Angel Lafita to Real Zaragoza this summer.

Coach Miguel Angel Lotina is a fan of the forward who was named as the Player of the Tournament as Mexico won the Gold Cup recently and said recently that he could be an option.

Another possibility for Town is one of the biggest names in football.

Johannes Vennegoor of Hesselink is a free agent after being released by Celtic in the summer.

Bristol City boss tried to land him but was put off by his wage demands while PSV, Hull City and Blackburn Rovers have all been strongly linked with the former Holland international.
