CONNOR Wickham has edged level with strike partner Ronan Murray after hitting another hat-trick as Ipswich Town Reserves romped to an 8-0 win at Stevenage.

The Colchester schoolboy has now notched 21 goals. His three yesterday made it six for the reserves and 15 for the Under 18s in league and cup.

Irish youngster Murray has also banged in 21, with 16 of these for the Under 18s and five for the second string. With just one Academy match to play, Charlton away on Saturday, the 16-year-olds will be hoping to be among the goals once more.

Wickham grabbed his third hat-trick of the season in the first-half at Stevenage, while Murray scored after going on as a substitute for Dean Bowditch, who also scored in the win.

Centre-half Tom Eastman bagged a brace, while Ed Upson, in his last game for the club, hit the other as Town's Reserves ended the season in style but only finished fourth after winning the title for the previous two years.
