The transfer window has shut again for another year, with Ipswich Town bringing in seven new signings - but have the club done enough in January?

The Blues added Reading striker Dominic Samuel and Cardiff midfielder Emyr Huws on loan deals yesterday, but failed to secure the much-needed permanent replacement for Daryl Murphy, who departed for Newcastle for £3 million last August.

The new duo join non-league signings Kieffer Moore and Danny Rowe at Portman Road, as well as free agents Jordan Spence and Steven Taylor and Leeds loanee Toumani Diagouraga.

While seven additions is impressive in number, it’s fair to say that none of the new faces will get pulses racing among the increasingly frustrated Town faithful.

And with other teams in the Championship making some big moves, have Town done enough to boost their ailing season?
