Hyam and Martin expected to miss Millwall – but Jewell hints Byron Lawrence could be on the bench

LUKE Hyam will miss out on another start for Ipswich Town after injuring his thigh in training.

Blues boss Paul Jewell confirmed that the midfielder was a starter for tomorrow’s match against Millwall at Portman Road, but sustained the injury in training yesterday ruling him out.

Lee Martin (groin) is also expected to miss out with Jay Emmanuel-Thomas expected to come in.

Jewell also revealed that 16-year-old schoolboy Byron Lawrence should be on the five-man bench for the visit of the Lions.

The manager said: “We wanted him to train with us yesterday and today, but we couldn’t get him out of school. He might be on the bench - I will have to sleep on it.”
