ALAN Lee insists Ipswich are still feeling positive about their promotion prospects despite dropping two points at home to relegation-threatened Sheffield United, who are just five points off the bottom clubs.

Lee hit the equaliser for Town after James Beattie had given the Blades the lead and felt Town might have gone on to win.

He said: “We needed a goal and thought that might be the springboard for us.

“The lads are a little disappointed and felt unfortunate to be a goal down at half time. We want to win every game and anything less than that is disappointing. But we are all still very positive.”

Lee denied any nervousness was creeping into the side as Ipswich have slipped outside the play-off places with 10 games to go.

He said: “The way we started for the first half-hour shows we are not nervous although I will concede once they scored we didn't pass the ball as well.”

Lee also praised the Blades: “They are an experienced side with players who were in the Premiership last season so you have to give them respect.”

Lee's position could be under threat if Ipswich sign a new striker but he is calm about that and would be happy with any new addition.

He said: “We welcome any good players. We want to get to the Premiership and any player that can help us will be welcomed.”
