Ipswich Town announce Gillingham friendly as familiar pre-season campaign takes shape

Ipswich Town will travel to League One Giliingham to play a pre-season friendly on Saturday, July 22.
The Blues, who will also play away games at Drogheda, Peterborough, Colchester and Charlton this summer, will kick-off against Ipswich-born Ady Pennock’s team at 3pm.
The teams met in a pre-season friendly back in the summer of 2014, the Blues winning 2-0 courtesy of goals from Alex Henshall and Luke Hyam.
The Gills finished 20th in League One last season, avoiding relegation by a single point, and include former Blues winger Lee Martin in their squad.
