Ipswich Town boss Mick McCarthy spoke to the media and discussed his future, Evans, the fans and his players.
The Blues head to Bristol City on the back of Tuesday night’s 3-0 defeat by Hull, played out in front of the lowest Portman Road crowd since September 1998.
McCarthy held a meeting with his players on the pitch at the end of the game, following an evening where fans chanted their displeasure throughout, long balls and completed passes were jeered and boos accompanied both the half and full-time whistles.
The Ipswich manager’s future remains unresolved, with McCarthy insisting on Monday that he didn’t want to discuss his future in the wake of comments from managing director Ian Milne.
With McCarthy out of contract in the summer, Milne said an announcement regarding the manager’s future could come simultaneously with news of season ticket prices for next year.
