Ipswich Town defender Christophe Berra has pulled out of the Scotland squad for Gordon Strachan’s side’s European Championship qualifier against world champions Germany, in Dortmund, on Sunday.
The former Hearts and Wolves defender sustained a knee injury in the 1-1 draw at Derby on Saturday – a game in which he scored his third goal of the season – and has had an injection in his knee to ease the pain.
Elsewhere, Daryl Murphy is in the Republic of Ireland squad for their friendly against Oman in Dublin tonight, with Martin O’Neill’s side also in European Championship action against Georgia on Sunday.
Conor Sammon is on standby for both games.
