Ipswich Town defender Jonas Knudsen won his third international cap in Denmark’s 0-0 draw with Chile this evening.
The left back won his two previous Denmark caps before moving to Portman Road in the summer of 2015, but won his first as a Town player during the game in Aalborg.
He played the full 90 minutes against a Chile side including Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal of Bayern Munich, playing his part in keeping a clean sheet.
Knudsen was an unused substitute in Denmark’s 1-0 victory over Panama on Friday night but was able to push his case for a place in his country’s squad for the World Cup in Russia this summer.
Bartosz Bialkowski made his Poland debut in a 1-0 defeat by Nigeria on Friday, but was not involved as his country let a two-goal lead slip before ultimately finding a last gasp winner to beat South Korea 3-2.
Elsewhere, Flynn Downes was not involved as a much-changed England U19s side were beaten 2-0 by Macedonia, having already won their group and secured their place at this summer’s European Championships.
Kevin Bru, who is set to depart the Blues this summer, captained Mauritius to a 2-0 victory over Mongolia.
