Following this afternoon’s 1-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, sports writer WILL RIDGARD takes a look at some of the reaction from Ipswich Town’s fans and players.

Ipswich Town players and fans took to social media after the Suffolk side’s poor final home game of the season this afternoon.

Keiran Lee scored a late winner for Sheffield Wednesday, who will compete in the upcoming Championship play-offs, in a forgettable match for Ipswich.

Emyr Huws, on loan at Ipswich from Cardiff City until the end of the season, apologised for the team’s performance on Twitter as the team look to do better at Nottingham Forest next Sunday (12pm kick-off).

Stacks of fans also reacted on Twitter, Tweeting about Tom Lawrence’s final game at Portman Road, the final lap of appreciation, the game itself, and the future of Town boss Mick McCarthy.
