Ipswich Town have announced that their half season ticket sales are up a whopping 757 per cent on this time last year.
The Blues moved to second in the Championship table following Saturday’s dramatic 1-0 win at Charlton – 34 points from 19 games representing the club’s best start to season in a decade.
As a result, more than 400 half season tickets – which enable fans to watch the final 12 home games of the season at a reduced price – have been sold with three weeks of the offer still to run.
A crowd of more than 20,000 is expected for Saturday’s visit of Leeds United to Portman Road, the Yorkshire club having snapped up more than 1700 away tickets.
Those who purchase a half season ticket, which the EADT and Ipswich Star revealed were selling fast recently, also guarantee their seat for the 2015/16 campaign, even if the club is promoted into the Premier League.
