Ipswich Town head into the two-week international break having relinquished their 100 per cent record in the Championship, but with plenty of reasons to be cheerful.

The Blues lost 2-0 at home to Fulham on Saturday, but remain second-top and have a window of opportunity now to get some of their injured players back into the fold.

Saturday aside, they have also become far more clinical this season, scoring nine goals from 12 shots on target – new boys Joe Garner and Martyn Waghorn hitting the ground running.

Chris Brammer and Stuart Watson assess the Blues’ start and to look ahead to a busy month of September, which features away games at QPR, Derby and Leeds and home encounters with Bolton, Sunderland and Bristol City.
