Ipswich Town are in the hunt for prolific Wimbledon striker Lyle Taylor, according to reports.

The Blues are vying with Championship rivals Burton Albion for the services of Taylor, who’s plundered 15 goals in League One this season but is out of contract in the summer.

The 27-year-old has bagged 53 goals in 140 appearances in his three years with the Dons.

Taylor made his name under current Lincoln boss Danny Cowley at non-league Concord Rangers, and has played for Bournemouth, Sheffield United, Falkirk, Partick and Scunthorpe, among others.

In all, he’s netted 104 goals in 317 career appearances – roughly a strike every three games.
