Young Ipswich Town defender Josh Yorwerth made a winning start to his loan spell with League Two Crawley Town, the Red Devils winning 3-0 at Terry Butcher’s Newport County last night.
The Welsh defender played 90 minutes as the League Two strugglers won just their second game of the season.
Elsewhere, Matt Clarke also played the duration as Portsmouth’s unbeaten start to the season in the same league was finally ended at Fratton Park, Exeter City grabbing a 2-1 win.
The teenage centre-back has been extremely impressive for Paul Cook’s side so far and will remain on the south coast until January.
In League One, meanwhile, Blues winger Cameron Stewart was an unused sub in Doncaster Rovers’s 2-2 draw at home to Swindon.
