Loan striker Noel Hunt will leave Ipswich Town and return to Leeds after tonight’s game with Charlton at Portman Road.
The former Reading striker came off the bench to score a last-gasp winner for the Blues on his debut at Charlton, but will not be extending his stay in Suffolk.
“Noel will be leaving us after the Charlton game,” Town boss Mick McCarthy said.
“His loan was due up on Saturday but with the FA Cup game at Southampton pushed back until the Sunday, he now can’t play in that game.
“There is nothing in place between the two clubs to extend the deal. There is no agreement there so Noel will have to go back to Leeds and do something else.”
