Ipswich Town may offer a trial to experienced winger Jobi McAnuff – if he reaches an agreement with Leyton Orient over the final year of his contract.
The 33-year-old has spent 13 years of his career playing in the second-tier, but the ex Wimbledon, West Ham, Cardiff, Crystal Palace, Watford and Reading player was part of the Orient side that was relegated from League One to League Two last season.
And the east London club are now having to drastically cut their wage bill and may have to reach an agreement with McAnuff over the final year of his deal.
The Jamaica international has just played his part in helping the Reggae Boyz reach the final of the Gold Cup.
He is not understood to be one of the three players that Town hope to sign by Monday.
