We started today with Paul Mason who scored twice for the Blues as they beat Man United at Portman Road in 1994, while Alex Mathie also scored twice as the Blues beat Fulham 4-2 at Portman Road in 1996.
16 years ago today, the Blues progressed through to the next round of the Worthington Cup, after beating Derby 3-1 at Portman Road, thanks to goals from Darren Ambrose, Darren Bent and Pablo Counago.
In 2005, Town beat Leeds United 2-0 at Elland Road with Sam Parkin scoring both goals for the Blues, and it was also on this day in 1985, Kevin Wilson scored twice for Town in their 3-1 win over Darlington at Portman Road in the League Cup.
And finally on this day in 1974, Trevor Whymark was among the scorers as the Blues beat 10 man Stoke City at Portman Road to make it eight wins out of nine in the league at the start of the 1974-75 campaign.
