Tricky winger Celina (Manchester City, season-long loan) and box-to-box midfielder Adeyemi (Cardiff, free) both signed in June but have both been sidelined with illness.
Right-back Iorfa (Wolves, season-long loan) was only signed last Friday, but goes straight into the mix. Striker Joe Garner will be aiming to build on his record of three goals in two games.
Injuries
Adam Webster may once again be left out as a precaution after he slightly rocked the ankle which sidelined him for most of last season. Fellow defender Luke Chambers sat out in Ireland after having his tonsils removed, but could return to action.
Kids
Andre Dozzell will be given a break having just played a key role in England Under-19’s European Championship winning campaign.
The likes of George Fowler, Pat Webber, Tristan Nydam, Flynn Downes, Conor McKendry, Monty Patterson and Ben Morris will be given another opportunity to catch Mick McCarthy’s eye.
Opposition lowdown
Posh finished 11th in League One last season and are preparing for a fifth successive season in the third-tier.
Manager Grant McCann has set about freshening his squad this summer, with striker Jack Marriott – a player who was prolific at youth team level with Town – among the recruits. The 22-year-old left on Portman Road on a free, scored 28 goals in his two seasons at League Two club Luton and has moved back up a level for a reported £400k.
McCann said: “He is like a young Craig Mackail-Smith in terms of his energy and his pace to run in behind. I believe it is a good coup for us because there were a couple of Championship clubs in for him.”
