Paul Digby has today signed a permanent deal with Ipswich Town.

The defender, who spent the latter part of last term with the Blues, has penned a one-year contract from Barnsley, which includes the option of a further 12 month stay.

Paul signed on the dotted line this morning, joining on a free transfer, before linking up with the rest of Mick McCarthy’s first-team squad for the first day of pre-season training.

Digby is capable of playing in both defence or midfield, with Town boss McCarthy previously saying he sees the youngster developing into a fine centre-half.
