Ipswich Town striker Freddie Sears has signed a new four-year deal with the Blues, with the option of a further 12 months.
The 25-year-old has been a revelation for the Blues after joining from Colchester United in January, and scored nine goals in 23 Championship games last season.
The ex-West Ham man opened his account for the new season in the 2-1 home win against Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend, and is contention to start again tonight when Town host Burnley.
Meanwhile, Town strikers Daryl Murphy and David McGoldrick have been named in a provisional 37-man squad for the Republic of Ireland’s Euro 2016 qualifiers against Gibraltar and Georgia next month.
