Ipswich Town striker Jack Marriott has re-joined Conference Premier side Woking on loan.

The 20-year-old enjoyed two successful loan spells with the Cards last season, scoring 12 goals in 22 games, and has recently returned from League Two basement club Carlisle, where he failed to score in five appearances.

Marriott, who also had a spell on loan at League One Gillingham last season, has so far made one start and two substitute appearances for Town and will be out of contract at the end of the season.

Last month, Blues boss Mick McCarthy explained how he wanted Marriott, a regular scorer for Town’s under-21s and 18s, to add more strings to his bow and will hope another stint away from Portman Road will aid his development.
