Ipswich Town will face Charlton Athletic in their final pre-season friendly before the new season kicks off.
The Blues revealed this morning that they will travel to the Valley to face the League One side on Saturday, July 29, with a 3pm kick-off.
The 2017/18 season starts the following Saturday, on August 5, so the clash with the Addicks is likely to be the club’s final pre-season fixture before they begin their new campaign.

In recent years Town have tended to stay at home for the final friendly of the pre-season and last year hosted Belgian side Royal Union Saint-Gilloise, losing 2-1.
Further friendly fixtures will be announced in the coming days and weeks. The Blues are expected to face usual pre-season foes Colchester United, Cambridge United and Southend United among them.
