Ipswich Town and Colchester United will meet in a pre-season friendly at the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Tuesday, July 25 (7.30pm kick-off).
Brett Pitman scored the winner for Town as Ipswich beat the U’s 1-0 in Colchester last pre-season.
The game has become something of an annual event, the two teams having met every summer since 2011.
Meanwhile, Town are to spend another chunk of their pre-season in Ireland.
The Blues will once again spend time at Carton House, using the venue as their pre-season training base, before rounding off their tour with a game against Drogheda United, at United Park, on Saturday, July 8 (2pm kick-off). Tickets will be available on the day.
Town have already announced friendly dates at Charlton (July 29) and Peterborough (July 18), while Colchester will travel Maldon & Tiptree on July 8 and Braintree Town on July 22.
