Transfer deadline day is upon us and while Ipswich Town have made six signings so far, the fans are feeling more than a little underwhelmed.

That is because the club is still to sign a proper replacement for Daryl Murphy, sold at the last minute to Newcastle United in the last transfer window.

The club did not have enough time to bring in someone to fill the void left by Murphy but it was hoped, by supporters and club manager Mick McCarthy alike, that a signing in January would put that problem to bed.
