PAUL Jewell remains as manager of Ipswich Town – but mystery remains as to how long the beleaguered boss has got left.

The Championship’s bottom club have so far today adopted a wall of silence as rumours deepen that Jewell is heading for the exit door.

After last night’s abject home defeat to Derby County saw fans chant ‘you’re getting sacked in the morning’ at the dejected Town boss, it appears as if the tipping point has been reached.

No word has come out of Portman Road this morning although Jewell was seen arriving at the training ground.

As it stands, fans will tonight get their chance to address chief executive Simon Clegg, Jewell’s number two, Chris Hutchings, and skipper Carlos Edwards at the official supporters’ club annual general meeting.
