Ipswich Town will play Bournemouth at Portman Road in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup if they come through next Tuesday night’s replay at Portsmouth.

Town, who drew 2-2 with League Two Pompey after an uninspiring display and a late Ryan Fraser equaliser at Portman Road in the Third Round on Saturday, haven’t won an FA Cup match since 2010.

They will travel to Portsmouth for a replay next Tuesday night.

If they were to prevail, a home time with Premier League Bournemouth would present some interesting reunions – striker Brett Pitman is something of a legend with the Cherries and joined Town in the summer, while winger Fraser is on loan for the season from the same club.

That was, of course, part of the deal which saw defender Tyrone Mings join the Premier League newcomers for £8m – although he has since suffered a serious knee injury and will miss the rest of this season.
