The duo joined the National League South side at the start of February on an initial one-month loan, with Webber making three start during that period and now extending his stay until April 7.

McKendry made three appearances and just one start, but returns to Portman Road,

Speaking earlier in the season, prior to the young pair goind out on loan, manager Mick McCarthy admitted the young Northern Irishman was not quite ready for the first team.

“I did ask him if someone had kidnapped Conor McKendry and replaced him with somebody who hits the target!” joked McCarthy, as he commented on McKendry’s four-goal display for Town’s Under 23s against Coventry in December.

“Tongue-in-cheek, of course, but we are always banging on at him about keeping it under the crossbar, TC (Terry Connor) especially.

“I only saw the first half performance because we were training, but he’s doing alright, he’s doing fine. He’s not at the level of the first team yet though.”
