IPSWICH Town will now face Chesterfield in the third round of the FA Cup after Droyslden were today thrown out of the competition.
The Blue Square North side were ejected from the FA Cup after it was shown they played an ineligible player in their second round replay at the Butchers arms Ground.
Sean Newton, who scored both of The Bloods' goals against the Spirerites, should not have played after being suspended for reaching five bookings.
Droylsden can appeal and if they do so it will be heard on Wednesday morning, which could mean the tie at Portman Road being put back until the following Tuesday.
