JAY Emmanuel-Thomas scored twice as an Ipswich Town reserve side thrashed Tottenham 5-1 in a friendly at Spurs Lodge this afternoon.
Bilel Mohsni, Cormac Burke and Ronan Murray got the other goals against a Spurs side that included Scott Parker, who was playing his first game after an Achilles’ injury, and former Blues loanee Massimo Luongo.
Also in the Ipswich line-up were Scott Loach, Elliott Hewitt, Kelly Youga and Josh Carson.
Blues boss Mick McCarthy, who announced his intention to organise some reserves friendlies with the Under-21s without a game until the New Year, was among those watching the match in North London.
