IPSWICH Town boss Paul Jewell has revealed this morning that there could be activity in the transfer market, both ways, before tomorrow afternoon’s transfer deadline for loan signings.

“We have made one or two enquiries, both yesterday and Monday. We are waiting for clubs to come back to us,” confirmed Jewell.

“There may be one or two that leave, to go out on loan.

“There’s always something that comes up late on, so I wouldn’t discount anything,” added Jewell.

Defender Troy Brown, who is yet to feature for Town under new boss Jewell, is one of those who could be on his way out on a loan move either today or tomorrow.

League Two club Southend United are believed to be interested in recruiting Brown, who will be on duty with the Wales Under-21s against Andorra in a European Championship qualifier next week.
